MONROE TOWNSHIP - SANFORD LAMPF, known as Sandy or Sanfy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Princeton Plainsboro Medical Center, Plainsboro, with his family by his side. He was 97.
Born in Newark, he resided in Edison before moving to Monroe Township 22 years ago.
Sanford was a US Navy Air Corps veteran of World War II, having served as a radio operator.
Prior to retiring in 1986, he was an accountant with Feedback Inc, Berkeley Heights.
Sanford was an avid sports fan; his seasons were not Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter, they were based on the sports seasons.
He is predeceased by his wife, Estelle Lampf in 2012.
Surviving are his son, Mark H. Lampf and his wife, Shelley, of Edison; his daughter, Debbie Lampf, and her husband, Michael Kalison, of Skillman; six grandchildren, Jeffrey and Scott Kalison, Stefanie Kennedy, and her husband, Daniel, Philip, Carolyn, and Sean Lampf, and one great-grandson, Eoin.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at 1:45 PM at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, Cranbury Road at Evergreen Blvd., East Brunswick. For directions, please visit the "Services" page.
