MONROE TOWNSHIP - We are saddened by the passing of DONALD STEWART WIENER on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was 82.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Trumbull, CT, Rego Park, NY, and Forest Hills, NY, before relocating to Monroe Township 20 years ago.
Donald graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and then received a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. Prior to retiring in 2014, Donald was a self-employed Certified Public Accountant for over 55 years. For many years he was also a substitute school teacher in Monroe Township School District.
Donald was a U.S. Army veteran, transferring from active duty to reserve status in 1959 and honorably discharged as a Captain in 1969.
He was an active Congregant of B'Nai Torah, Trumbull, CT, for many years, before moving to New Jersey.
Donald was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey David Wiener, who died on September 11, 2001, and his brother Jordan Wiener.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Wilma Rose (Katz); daughter, Robin Wiener and her husband, Roger Nehrer, of Washington, DC, and beloved granddaughters, Jennifer and Alexandra.
A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at 11:15 am, at MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, Cranbury Road at Evergreen Blvd., East Brunswick, with interment to follow at New Montefiore Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.
