MONROE TOWNSHIP - CHARLES LEVINE passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at CentraState Medical Center. He was 84.

Charles grew up in the Weequaich Section of Newark and later moved to Hillside. He graduated from Hillside High School in the class of 1953.

After high school, he enrolled in NYU pharmacy school, but later joined the Marine Corps in 1956. He served for 3 years in the military.

He met his wife Sandy, in 1958, and they would have been married for 60 years this coming November.

Charles spent 28 years as the owner of Sandy's Luncheonette in East Brunswick. It was the hub of the town for many years and cultivated many long friendships within the community.

After retiring, Charles and Sandy moved to Lakewood in the Fairways at Lake Ridge.

Charles had a love for photography, cooking and cars. He is survived by his wife, Sandy, 3 children, wonderful sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, 11 grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
