Our beloved Mom, JEANNE (FUCHS) ROSSNER died peacefully on March 25, 2021, at RWJ, New Brunswick.
Jeanne was born in Perth Amboy, the daughter of Minnie and Leon Fuchs. She graduated from Perth Amboy High School and attended business school where she earned a bookkeeping degree.
In 1947, Jeanne married the love of her life, Norman S. Rossner, and lived in Perth Amboy for over 50 years before moving to East Brunswick. Together with her husband and parents, she worked in the Corner Bake Shoppe in Perth Amboy, which her parents owned and operated. Jeanne then worked as a bookkeeper for the Plain N Tweed store in Metuchen before becoming the bookkeeper for South River Dodge and Jeep. Upon leaving that position, Jeanne worked as a hostess and cashier for the Lox, Stock and Deli restaurant until her retirement.
Jeanne was an active member of Beth Israel Synagogue of Perth Amboy before joining Anshe Emeth Temple in South River. She also enjoyed many activities of the East Brunswick Senior Center.
She loved to walk and explore through stores. She thoroughly enjoyed going to Atlantic City where she and her daughters would go for a fun get-away several times a year. The highlight of her Atlantic City outings was when she won a bright red BMW convertible on a slot machine at Resorts Casino.
Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Norman.
Surviving are her daughters, Sherry and her husband, Dr. Marc Rosen, of Edison, Marsha and her husband, Dr. William Shilane, of East Brunswick. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Sari, Jeff, Meredith, Kelly, Josh, Beth and Dan. She was further blessed with two great-grandsons, Brayden and Jacob, and a great-granddaughter, Marlowe, all of whom brought her much joy with each of their little smiles. Jeanne will be missed by her brother, Dr. Milton Fuchs, sisters, Anita Price and her husband, Herman, and Pearl Horn and her husband, Bob, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Dr. Daniel Rafael and his wife, Lynne, and Charlotte Benzilio, along with her many loving nieces and nephews.

Even though we met Jeanne only later on in her life, she will be remembered for her sweet, pleasant personality and for helping to get our own mom through a very tough time. Sherry, Marsha we are now bonded friends for life through this experience. Our hearts and prayers go out to your families. And so thankful your mom left our physical world as she would have wished to do so. May she be rejoicing with your dad. Love, Maria, Joanna & Yola.
