PARLIN - RONALD BARRY SKOLNIK passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 87 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Sam and Lenora (née Greenstein), he resided there until 1969 when he relocated to the Parlin section of Sayreville (New Jersey). Up until his passing, he was fortunate enough to remain in the same home that he and his wife had built so many years earlier.
Through this past season, Ronald was a certified public accountant and tax attorney for his own firm for 58 years.
He was a United States Army veteran, having served from 1959 through 1960.
Though his family was his true passion, Ron was an avid sports fan, who loved the Brooklyn Dodgers, the New York Mets, and the New York Giants. His love for history and geography lead to numerous trips throughout the nation and many countries with his loving wife Hester, by his side. In addition, he spent his time collecting stamps and coins from throughout the world.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Enid Hester (née Levine); their sons, Eric and his significant other Naida Robles, of Old Bridge, Kevin and his wife, Stacie, of Sayreville, and Jonathan of the Morganville section of Marlboro; his sister, Reneé Rubin-Ross of Greenlawn, NY, and four grandchildren, Alexa, Gabby, Brendan and Sawyer.
A temple service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 10:15 am, at Temple Beth Ahm, 550 Lloyd Road, Matawan, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, East Brunswick. Interment will follow at Beth Moses Cemetery, West Babylon, NY. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.
