EAST BRUNSWICK - JOAN BRAMSON passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at The Gardens at Monroe, in Monroe Township. She was 92 years old.
Born in Saratoga Springs, NY, to Edward and Ann (née Mintzer) Meyer, she resided in Corinth, NY, until after graduating from Skidmore College, at which point she headed south to the bright lights of New York City. It was there that she met and married Robert Bramson, to whom she was married for 67 years until his passing in 2020.
Joan was a member of the East Brunswick Jewish Center, and an active supporter of Hadassah Women's Zionist Organization of America, which advocates for critical issues on women's health and wellbeing. She was a fan of the New York Giants baseball club until they moved to the West Coast, and transferred her allegiance to the New York Mets thereafter. She maintained a lifelong passion for live performances, whether sporting events, opera, theater, or symphonies.
Surviving are her son Philip Bramson and his wife Jody, of East Brunswick; her daughter Marcia and her husband Roger Spellman, of Sharon, MA; her daughter-in-law Patricia Kolker Bramson; her brother Martin Meyer and his wife Lynn of Saratoga Springs, NY; and her eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Joan was predeceased by her son Howard Bramson; and by two of her grandchildren, Stephanie Bramson and Yaakov Spellman.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 7, at 12:15 PM, at MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. For directions, please visit out "Services" page.
