MATAWAN - DOROTHY SCHEPT passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Preferred Care at Old Bridge. She was 97 years old.

Born in Jersey City, to Abraham and Anna Kessler, she resided in Bayonne before settling down in Old Bridge 8 years ago.

Prior to retiring she was an Administrative Assistant for Prudential Insurance for 14 years.

In her leisure time she enjoyed dancing, movies, being the center of attention at parties and going out with friends and family.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Howard, in 1975 and her daughter, Nancy, in 2020.

Surviving are her daughter, Cathy Verga and son-in-law, Edward Verga of Old Bridge; grandsons, Marc Maltzman of Green Brook, and Jeff Maltzman and wife, Joy, of Tucson, and great-grandchildren, Ella and Eron Maltzman.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 10:45 am, at Riverside Cemetery, 12 Market Street, Saddle Brook, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, East Brunswick. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.
