MONROE TOWNSHIP - DR. ARNOLD P. BROWN passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at his residence. He was 81 years old.
Born in the Bronx, New York to Jean and Ruby Brown, Arnold resided in East Brunswick for many years until settling down in Monroe Township.
Prior to his retirement, he practiced dentistry in Carteret, New Jersey. Arnold was a registered pharmacist and pharmaceutical salesman, prior to his career as a dentist.
Arnold enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, performing in local theater and singing groups, doing crossword puzzles and keeping up to date on popular culture.
He was a founding member of Temple B'nai Shalom in East Brunswick, NJ, where he remained active throughout his life, including serving as president, ritual committee chair, cemetery committee chair, and participating in the annual Purim Spiel.
Arnold was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Rita Brown, in 2020.
Surviving are his daughter, Karen Brown of Hoboken; his son, Eric Steven Brown, and his wife Lydia of New York, NY, and his grandchildren, Rebecca, Andie, Hannah and Joshua.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at 10:45 am at Temple B'nai Shalom, 15 Fern Road, East Brunswick, officiated by Rabbi Milgrim. A graveside service will follow at 12:15 pm at Floral Park Cemetery in South Brunswick under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.

I knew Arnie as both a colleague and friend. He was quite the caring and kind person, and while I had not seen him the last few years, he will surely be missed.
